The journey of the AMiGAS leather sandals began in 2019. We, Hang Huynh and Manuela Murschetz, met in Hoi An. Hoi An is probably the most charming city in Vietnam and it is famous for its exceptional tailors and shoemakers.
How it all began
In Hang Huynh's shoemaking workshop, we developed the design of the first leather sandals: they had to be comfortable, robust, playful and elegant. There were two pairs.
How AMiGAS came to Switzerland
Due to the high demand from friends, we started a small sandal label a few months later. Manu created a small website with an order form where the sandals could be ordered in the desired size and color. The first order contained 15 pairs of sandals. Hang shipped something to Europe for the first time.
Small family business
In addition to a new passion and a new project, we have been supporting Hang and her family in Vietnam ever since, and we also have a colorful selection of super comfortable and beautiful leather sandals in our shop!
